There are several fish restaurants in the United Arab Emirates .However it is very hard to find pure seafood (Just Seafood only) in this emirate .Fish Hut in Oud Meta is one among them. The daily catch fish is displayed in a chiller with ice displayed. They do have all the local fishes from the Dubai emirates .Local Fish includes Sherry , Hamour , Suman, Fasker, Sultan Ibrahim , Thilapia, Pomfret, Redsnapper, Seabream. They also have the Tiger Prawns, Shrimps, Lobsters (Canadian and Omani) , Mud Crabs from Pakistan and India, King Fish from Arabian Sea , imported wild Salmon and many more daily catch . I was lucky to see the live fish on the chiller display  (Hamour breathing and mud crab alive). Moreover, Fish Hut is possibly the only restaurant in Dubai that is encouraging and serving the guest to have a healthy fish grill with green salads.  The soaring popularity of this Fish restaurant and the media publicity makes it a busy restaurant. The basic seating arrangement in Fish Hut (Solid wooden chairs and wooden tables) makes a home feeling with good ambiance stickers on the wall.

I have visited several restaurants in Jumeirah  and new Dubai like , Marina , Jumeirah Lake Towers , Jumeirah beach residence and found Fish Hut is one among the reasonable restaurant with excellent service and quality food .There is around forty seating capacity in this restaurant and also an outside seating capacity around twenty seats. The best time to visit the restaurant is afternoon for lunch or brunch. Dubai locals are attracted to this restaurant because of their fresh display and open kitchen.

Once you enter the restaurant, there is wide selection of seafood and fish. GRILLED FISH, DEEP FRY, TAVA FRY or TAVA GRILLED are the different options available there . We can see the open kitchen where they cleaning, marination and grilling. The good thing I felt is that, Fish Hut has a good ambiance without the smell of fish. Normal cooking time is twenty minutes. As a complimentary they provide the seafood soup(shrimps,crabs,kingfish,shrimps ) without any artificial flavors.

The menu is simple. This restaurant has the fresh catch of the day .You can select from the ten to fifteen varieties of fish and seafood with around  ten flavors and three types of cooking (grilled charcoal,tava fry , deep fry and tava grill which you can select ).
My favorite at Fish Hut is the Charcoal Grill (Lemon flavor) and a secret ingredient which they don’t disclose, and the owners are hesitant to share. A half kilo of shrimps cost you Dhs 50/- and local fishes are very cheap. Seafood soup, Salad & Fish Curry comes free.
Believe me  i am a resident of Ajman , and still i find time to reach them once in a week .
